Droga/Torino. La scienza ha dimostrato ampiamente efficacia narcosale contro danni della droga

Esprimo il mio apprezzamento sull’iniziativa dei 20 consiglieri comunali di Torino che hanno chiesto la sperimentazione delle "safe injection rooms", anche chiamate narcosale. Chi nega l’efficacia di questo strumento nella lotta agli effetti della droga nega la realta’ dei fatti, affermata scientificamente da innumerevoli ricerche (1). Le narcosale sono uno dei pochi modi in cui gli operatori nel campo delle tossicodipendenze possono entrare in contatto con chi usa droghe da iniezione come l’eroina, offrendo loro la possibilita’ di curarsi. Inoltre la narcosala puo’ offrire altri importantissimi servizi, come siringhe pulite, controllo di sostanze e dosi, supervisione medica -tre strumenti che serviranno (come gia’ in Spagna, Svizzera, Germania, Australia, Canada, etc.) a ridurre drasticamente le morti per overdosi ed il danno alla salute dei tossicodipendenti.


Accolgo con speranza le reazioni del sindaco di Torino, Sergio Chiamparino, e del ministro della Salute, Livia Turco, entrambi favorevoli alla sperimentazione. Mi auguro di tutto cuore che anche in Parlamento, come gia’ nel Consiglio comunale di Torino, la maggioranza voglia finalmente mostrare segni di vita in materia di tossicodipendenza.
